SELF PORTRAIT

• Select self portrait photo to work with and impost into Photoshop.
• Look at MENU/IMAGE/IMAGE SIZE to see how large your original camera photo is.
• Resize image to somewhere 2000 pixels in length.
• Use Magnet Lasso Tool
• Copy and Paste creating a new layer
• SAVE as lastname_portrait01.psd

• Search on the Internet for a new landscape photo.
• Remember to download a LARGE image.

• Drag and Drop new photo onto Photoshop icon.
• Select All, Copy, and then Paste into Portrait project.
• Resize landscape image by using EDIT/FREE TRANSFORM tool. (command T).
• Move layer to below main figure.
•Use the RULE of THIRDS for composition setting this in MENU/VIEW/NEW GUIDLINES.

• Add other images and objects, adjust layers.

• Use ERASER tool (set to something soft), increased the size of the brush, and ERASED more of the desert.
• Added a turtle
• Selected the top layer (NOT SHOWN HERE)
• Used the RECTANGULAR MARQUEE TOOL I selected the sketchbook area and hit delete.
• I selected the turtle layer and using FREE TRANSFORM and HOLDING DOWN THE SHIFT KEY to keep it in proportion, I reduced the size of the image so that it fit into the sketchbook area.

• Zoom into areas that need to be cleaned up.Use eraser tool to soften the edges around the hair and background. The goal is to have visually soft transitions.

• Add other objects like tropical flower, and custom shapes.

•  And changed the HUE to get a blue man.
